BIALL Official Publications Seminar

One of the areas identified in our recent survey of training needs suggested that BIALL members would like us to arrange a course on Official Publications. I am therefore pleased to announce this seminar which will be taking place early next month at The National Archives in Kew, which will be open both to BIALL members and also to non-members:

The National Archives, Kew, Richmond, Surrey TW9 4DU
This afternoon seminar will feature three authoritative speakers from The National Archives, who have also kindly agreed to host the session for us.
1. Legislation.gov.uk
(John Sheridan, Head of Legislation)
2. Government parliamentary papers
(Helen Creeke, Official Publications Manager)
3. The National Archives collections policy
(Julia Stocken, Head of Information Management and Practice)
The course will begin with registrations at 1pm (for a 1:30pm start), and light refreshments will be provided. The price will be £20 (+ VAT) for BIALL members, or £30 (+ VAT) for non-members.

Although we potentially have a generous capacity for numbers attending this course, we have a deadline for bookings of 30 October. Regardless of available places, it will therefore not be possible to take any further bookings after this date. Consequently, I would encourage those interested in this course to book their place at this seminar as soon as possible.
