- A new study finds that the use of computers and Facebook are more associated with information overload than the use of television and iPhones. By Justin Ellis
This article looks at a recent study by Avery Holton and Iris Chyi: “News and the Overloaded Consumer: Factors Influencing Information Overload Among News Consumers”, which surveyed more than 750 adults about their news and information consumption habits. 27% report experiencing no feelings of being overloaded with 73% reporting experiencing information overload to some extent. The findings show a correlation between the type of platform used to discover the latest headlines and that of users' perceptions of feeling overloaded.
